Kortrijk, Belgium
Team Pain’s friend, Peter Possenier, contacted Team Pain to get a large skate bowl built for the City of Kortrijk. His vision was for an 8,000 square foot bowl for bikers and skateboarders. After a long legislative battle to get an American skate park specialist to come in and construct the park, we finally got the go ahead to create the King Albert Skate Park. This concrete facility was completed in October of 2005 and boasts a bowl with a deep end of 10 ½ feet, a 6 foot shallow end, very smooth transitions, a cradle, a spine, roll-ins, twinkies and tons of high speed lines. This one is sure to be exposed by one of the upcoming European Tours.
