Woodwards Skatecamps
Woodward, PA
This is THE original skateboard summer camp and Team Pain is Proud to have assisted Woodward Camp in creating the legacy it carries today. Woodward PA, a actually has two concrete sections that were designed and built by Team Pain.
There is an awesome beginner section that resembles a bowl with rolled over top( no coping ). This section allows campers to learn the basics of carving, Ollies and transfers. Then there is the larger section that is conceptualized as a flow section. Half of it is mainly transitions that average 6 to 8 feet in depth and is skated like a bowl, then it flows right into a section with banks, hips, step-ups, moguls among many other indescribable unique areas. Let’s not forget a set of stairs, rails and a few more movable rails and boxes for the true street dogs! The amazing thing is how much use the facility gets in just one summer compared to any other facility if its kind! This Skatepark is definitely fun for anybody that skates, and being one of our earlier concrete projects, if definitely feels good that the area is in excellent condition with decades of skating still to happen. Woodward employs resident pro skaters every summer, so if you go there chances are that you will be skating with some known skateboard or bike pro.
Tehachapi, CA
With the unparallel success of the concrete elements that Team Pain designed and built at the original Woodward Camp in Pennsylvania, Gary Ream from Woodward camp contacted Team Pain once again to construct a 20,000 sq ft concrete flow course at their new camp in Tehachapi, California. Team Pain’s crew designed and constructed an amazing course built to withstand the abuse of Woodward’s bike, inline and skateboard campers. Being the busiest and most popular skateboarding summer camp in the universe, In just one summer, the Woodward concrete skate facility gets used and abused way more than any other municipal Skatepark in a whole year! Once complete the concrete was immediately assaulted by the campers, and visiting professionals alike. There is so much flow and so many options for all riders that any camper will always find new challenges for many years to come!
