Bob Burnquist
Grand Canyon Rail
On March 26th 2006, Team Pain helped Bob Burnquist fulfill one of his lifelong dreams of dropping in on a custom built 40 ft. mega ramp roll-in, and grinding on a 40 ft. rail that extended over the Grand Canyon. Once he reached the end of the rail, Bob then skydived/base jumped 1,600 ft. into the canyon. The whole thing was filmed for Discovery Channels "Stunt Junkies" TV show. Bob's amazing feat also appeared on the cover of Transworld Skateboarding.
Bob’s Corkscrew Ramp
Once again the innovative thoughts where churning inside the mind of Bob Burnquist. In the midst of an ankle wrecking fall while attempting to loop the Mt. Baldy Fill Pipe, Bob’s body twisted in such a way that the idea of a corkscrew was born. He knew his idea required a ramp as unique and challenging to build as the actual skating, Bob contacted Team Pain and shortly thereafter, Bob had another one of a kinds ramp in his Backyard Compound.
Bob’s Compound
Bob Burnquist contacted us to build a private Vert Ramp in his backyard. We built his ramp and it features the first ever wooden cradle! Behind the cradle, there is a rail going off of the Vert Ramp that lands into a take off ramp for his very own backyard loop! Bob's backyard is one of a kind, and has been featured in numerous magazines and videos.Bob’s Loop With Gap
Bob Burnquist contacted Team Pain once again with another idea. This time he wanted to ass a removable top door to his backyard loop! Team Pain took on the task and created the first ever Loop with a gap in the top of it! Bob is a true professional and it shows when you see him pull this off Switch.
