ASIAN X GAMES
This is one of the many events held in Asia that Team Pain has been involved with. Other destinations have included Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan. Some of the Pro’s that would frequent these events include: Sergie Ventura, Tony Hawk, Remmy Stratton, Matt Hoffman, Pat Parnell, Scot Crawford and more.
2004 - LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
This year’s street course was outside of the Staples Center and featured real street obstacles, such as concrete benches and skateable art. Inside the Staples center housed the Vert Ramp. This year’s ramp had one side that was bowled in. This was definitely a nice change of pace for the event!
ESPN X-GAMES & X-TRIALS // 1998-2003 VERT RAMPS
2005 - LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
This year, Team Pain's vert ramp was the only structure featured inside of the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Taking center stage, the Vert ramp was 120 ft. wide of mere perfection! The ramp featured a roll-in, channel, hip, and two corners. It was possibly the most liked vert ramp to date by all of the professional riders. {Flashback} in 1999, Team Pain built the X-Games vert ramp where Mr. Hawk performed his 1st 900 feat. This ramp was only 56ft wide; today the ramp has more than doubled in size. Man, how times have changed!Located inside the entrance plaza of the Staples center the street course was designed to emulate a real street environment by applying the use of concrete ledges and creative skateable art. Once again the course was a top favorite of the most demanding professional street skaters. On a typical build day, Professionals such as Koston, McCrank, and Howard were among others spotted casually sessioning the course.
For the 3rd year in a row Team Pain has received tons of props for “getting it right”! Till next year!
2006 - LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
The street course for the 2006 X-Games was indoors, and was one of the sickest street courses to date. The course featured an oversized four stair with a handrail and hubba ledges going down both sides. It also features a slanted manual pad, peir seven manual pad replica, mini hubbas, ledges, flat bars, and more.
