Encintas YMCA - CA
Encinitas is one of the first YMCA’s to have a skate park and was originally built by Tim Payne back in the early 1990's. This park has been around for a long time and still today is the training facility to many of the top vert skaters in California. Over the years, Team Pain has been out several times to revitalize the park and in 2004 the YMCA contacted us once again to design and build the new street area and to modify and install the 2003 X-Games vert ramp, which was also built by none other. The massive 120 foot wide vert ramp, was originally built with 11 foot radius. Team Pain had to come in and fully reconstruct it to make it have 11 1/2 radius’. Not an easy task by far, but Team Pain pulled it off, as expected! The street area features multiple ledges, rails, boxes, a pyramid, various quarter pipes and mini ramps. This park is by far a fun park for everyone from beginners to experts alike.
