Throwback Thursday: Arvada Skate Park – Thrasher Mag

Back in October of 2012, David Gonzalez was featured on the cover of Thrasher Magazine. This month, Thrasher posted a video of David revisiting the epic cover. We, at Team Pain, remember this issue because of the amazing Arvada skate park feature in the “krooked vs. Kolorado” article. We finished construction of the Arvada Skate Park in December of 2011. So, when this article was published, our 42,000 sq. foot park in Arvada was still brand new. The writer, John Rattray, praises the park. “The town of Arvada is home to a new bawse-ass skatepark built by Team Pain.” Thanks for the kind words, John, and thanks to Thrasher Magazine.

Have you been to Arvada? Since the beginning of 2012 we have seen some amazing photos and videos of Arvada. Please share your photos and videos with us!! Check out Thrashers Article in the link below..

EVENT TRACKER: Volcom Wild In The Parks – Arvada, Colorado Skate Park

Volcom Stone’s Wild In The Parks is a FREE amateur skateboard contest series. This year our Arvada Skate Park in Colorado was stop two of the series back in June. The contest was broken into three separate zones for the contestants. Volcom had their very own Caswell Berry, Alec Majerus, Axel Cruysberghs and Dane Burman give a quick preview of each zone before the contest started, peep the video above.

At the end of the day, Justin Gallegos took the 14 and under division,  Wyatt Milhollan took 15 to 21, and Julian Christianson took the Open/AM division. We’re looking forward to Stop 8 at our Williams Farm Skate Park in Virginia taking place on 9/12/15! For now enjoy the photo recap below.
