We lost a great hero in the skateboard world this week Dave Tuck. Dave was a man of admiration by skateboarders and an inspiration to everyone in his presence. He was a great advocate of skateboarding or better known as a scene building legend in Ann Arbor Michigan Charleston South Carolina and Colorado. Finally settling down in Arvada he built a backyard pool that was skated by many locals and also had a few bad ass contests. Dave had a dream of having a well respected skate park in his community and with his courageous help him and his wife Emily king pinned the Arvada skatepark. Helping with city meetings and also with the skatepark it self. If you ever get a chance to visit the Arvada skatepark know that he personally laid every block of pool coping himself demanding perfection. Being able to witness his smile while on the job site truly showed his passion for giving back to the skate community. Unfortunately in late 2011 Dave was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. People who knew Dave know that he was a fighter and fought cancer for almost two years before he passed away last weekend. The world wouldn’t be what it is today without Dave and we are proud to say we were blessed enough to have known him. Remembered and loved by many we thank you and honor you. Rest well up there buddy.
