Bay County, Florida’s skate park construction is starting to get underway! The County’s rules had to separate the design and construction bidding for the skate park project. Since Team Pain was awarded the design phase, we were not allowed to bid on the construction, so Bay County went out to bid and awarded the construction phase to Spohn Ranch Skateparks. We are in close contact with them and believe they will do an outstanding job to build the design we created. Bay County and the Panama City Beach area has long had a well-regarded surfing and skate scene, with some influential leaders that helped to bring this project to fruition. The expansive site along with the public’s desire for a well-rounded skate park gave Team Pain the direction to design the park within the County’s budget. The skateable area is a little over 20,000 square feet and will provide a street course, snake run, flow bowl and pool bowl, allowing for all types of disciplines and levels of riders to enjoy!
