With the renovations of the old Satellite Beach Skate Park being completed Team Pain is excited to announce that as of last Friday the Skate Park is now FREE and open to the public! The Satellite Beach Skate Park has been around since 1998 and has been a hub for skateboarders ever since. We are more than happy to have been able to renovate this older park and bring it back to life by adding new street course obstacles as well as a bowl… We wanted to incorporate a design that tends to every skaters needs on this renovation and thats exactly what we did. Everything you see that is highlighted in light grey is what we added to the park, although we had to change up the smaller pyramid in the top right due to lack of space. Since the renovations have been completed and with the skate park being free there has already been a serious increase in overall usage of the facility and we couldn’t be more stoked! “The funds that we take in don’t really cover the cost of the park. In fact, we think that the charge actually is an impediment to the use of the park,” City Manager Courtney Barker said. As of now the park’s Grand Opening Ceremony is on April 15th at 4pm. SEE YOU THERE!!
