Last weekend Team Pain and Surf Expo teamed up for what was one of the most fun contests to go down in Surf Expo history. Skateboarders from all corners of the States showed up to try and get a chance at the $3,333.33 we had to give away each day. The event was ran the same way our skateparks are built: “by skateboarders, for skateboarders.” It makes a hell of a difference when you know you are getting judged by your peers instead of someone who thinks they know about skateboarding.
The contest went down like this.. We took 15 people Thursday and 15 people Friday to get paid cash per trick landed (if worthy of cash of course). The top 5 money makers from Thursday and Friday went on to compete in the finals Saturday for one last chance to strike it rich. The top 5 from Thursday were Manny Santiago, Bert Wootton, Shawn Hale, Fletcher Renegar, and Kevin Sikes. The top 5 from Friday were Jon Scianneaux, Paul Hart, Devin Abreu, Blake Carpenter, and Yonnie Cruz. Check this video coverage of all the shredding that went down from Orlando’s local videographer TJ Gaskill.

Big thanks to Surf Expo, Skull Candy, Bones Wheels, and all the skateboarders who came out. We hope everyone had a good time, and that everyone left Surf Expo with their pockets a little fatter. Till next time…
There were filmers and photographers everywhere this weekend at Team Pain’s “Triple Threat” event at Surf Expo. If you missed out on this great time, we’ve got you covered with photos and video of the incredible skating, neck and neck races, and cringing slams that went down. We had $3,333.33 to give away each day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, where skaters got paid cash per landed trick. Check out the first edit we found filmed and edited by Riley Payne, and be sure to check back over the next few days as there will definitely be more videos popping up.
Attention Surf Expo attendees, we have a detailed schedule of this weekend’s events! Check out the schedule below, and you’ll see that we have 3 events a day for 3 days, keeping you on your toes, and putting some cash and prizes in your pockets. Just a friendly reminder, you MUST have a Surf Expo badge with your name on it in order to compete in Thursday, Friday, and Saturday’s events. This is sure to be a killer Surf Expo contest, because it is run by skateboarders, for skateboarders; the Team Pain way!
Next weekend, January 12th through the 14th, Team Pain once again has joined forces with Surf Expo to put on another epic skate event. This contest has all the right ingredients to be one of the most fun contests to skate all year: a brand new street course, air conditioning while you skate, girls walking around in bikinis, crowd giveaways, real skateboarders running the event, and cash for the winners. Also, this is a reminder that the only way to compete in this contest is if you are registered with Surf Expo. See you there next Thursday to kick it off!
Team Pain and Surf Expo are once again joining forces to bring you a skate contest of epic proportion. We have three events a day lined up three days in a row for you, with a ton of cash and prizes to give away to the winners. There will be events for skateboarders run by skateboarders at three times a day January 12th-14th. The details of each contest are still in the works, but we will keep you updated! The contest is open to registered Surf Expo attendees only, so come prepared! We are hammering out ideas for the contest course, so check back soon to see what we have in store for you!
Team Pain and Surf Expo will be hosting a big skate contest this January 12-14 here in Orlando. There are no specifics yet, other than there will be some BIG money, and there will be a killer Team Pain course. We will keep you updated, and let you know what’s going on as the details start coming in! Get hyped!
Check this quick clip from the Skate Art course this past weekend at Surf Expo! The Surf Expo course was a little smaller this Summer, but we still managed to have a few best trick contests, and got to watch the locals kill it! Be sure to show up for Surf Expo this January, the course will be big again and we will be doing another course for Bangers for Bucks.
Mark your calendars for September 8 – 10 because there WILL definitely be a skate course at the Surf Expo! Since Surf Expo only set aside a 20′x120′ area, we will bring in a variety of Skate Art to make up the street course so there will still be plenty of space to cruise around and won’t feel too cluttered. There will also be a contest with specifics still to be decided. Make sure you have your Surf Expo badge ready and be sure to stop by the Team Pain booth for some free swag!
