Ocala Recreation and Parks held a $100 a head pre-skate event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Ocala Skate Park. A handful of skaters and BMX riders broke in the new park located at 517 NE 9th St. There were 100 spots offered up for a $100 each. That money will go toward lighting for the facility.
